The Mahindra XUV400 has already hit the market, and the acceptance and popularity of the new all-electric SUV from the homegrown UV maker are touching new heights with each passing day. Mahindra had announced earlier that it will be selling off the exclusively-designed XUV400 electric SUV in an auction, the proceedings of which were meant to go to charity. Now, Mahindra has delivered the special-edition XUV400 in a public event for over Rs 1 crore.

In a public event, Anand Mahindra, the Chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra, delivered the keys of the one-off Mahindra XUV400 to Hyderabad-based Karunakar Kundavaram for Rs 1 crore and 75 thousand. All the proceedings of this special-edition XUV400 will go for the sustainable development of planet Earth.

A unique XUV400 in every way
Talking about this one-off Mahindra XUV400, this exclusive unit of the electric SUV was specially designed by Mahindra’s chief design officer Pratap Bose in collaboration with renowned fashion designer Rimzim Dadu. This one-off XUV400, which was named ‘Rimzim Dadu x Bose’ edition, is finished in an Arctic Blue paint scheme and has a blue outline for the copper-finished twin-peaks logo at both the front and rear of the SUV. This XUV400 also comes with the ‘Rimzim Dadu x Bose’ insignia inside-out at a few places, apart from a few other attention-to-detailing elements.
It should be noted that the bookings of the new Mahindra XUV400 have already commenced throughout India, with the all-electric SUV being offered in two variants – EC (Rs 15.99 lakh) and EL (Rs 18.99 lakh). There are five colour options in which the new XUV400 is available, namely Everest White, Arctic Blue, Napoli Black, Galaxy Grey and Infinity Blue. Mahindra has already accumulated over 15,000 bookings for the new XUV400.
Based on the XUV300, the new XUV400 is a stretched version of the former with an electric powertrain. It comes standard with a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery in the EL variant and a smaller 34.5 kWh battery in the lower-spec EC variant. The maximum range claimed by the new XUV400 is 456 km for the 39.5 kWh battery. Both the variants of the XUV400 come equipped with a 148 bhp electric motor, which produces 310 Nm of peak torque output.
The new Mahindra XUV400 is equipped with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three drive modes, a BlueSense Plus connectivity app with 60+ connected features and dual-zone automatic climate control. The new Mahindra XUV400 has arrived as a head-on competitor of the Tata Nexon EV.
