Rider takes Ola Electric S1 Pro EV to sea to test durability [Video]

Ola electric scooters are currently one of the most popular in the market. We have been hearing a lot of positive and negative reviews about the scooter since its launch. Most of these issues have been resolved by the manufacturer over a period of time. We have been seeing several videos on the internet where people actually test the durability, speed, and even range of the Ola electric scooter. Here we have one such video where a YouTuber rides an Ola S1 Pro electric scooter into the sea to test if it can handle saltwater or not.

The video has been uploaded by Aki D Hot Pistonz on their YouTube channel. The YouTuber has an Ola S1 Pro electric scooter and is doing a video where he is testing several aspects of the scooter. He starts with a drag race. In this drag race segment, the vlogger races against ICE scooters and bikes. The first vehicle in this round was a Suzuki Burgman 125cc scooter.

The Burgman scooter stood no chance. From the moment the race started, the Ola S1 Pro was in the lead. The 400-meter-long stretch was all empty, and the Ola won the first round. In the second round, the Ola scooter was competing against a Yamaha R15 motorcycle. The bike is one of the best-performing bikes in the segment. The race started, and both the Ola S1 Pro and R15 were giving tight competition to each other.

The Ola S1 Pro scooter had touched the top speed of 116 km/h in this round. The R15 was just behind the scooter, and as it was about to overtake, the finish line had come. For the third round, the bike was replaced with a Himalayan from Royal Enfield. This motorcycle performed well. When the race started, it immediately took the lead and maintained it for a few seconds. Ola took over after that, and the scooter won the round at the end.

For the next segment, the vlogger took the scooter to a steep section near his place and rode upwards in Eco mode with a pillion. The scooter was struggling, but it never stopped. It managed to crawl slowly up the slope. The vlogger even took the scooter for a range test. With 100 percent charge, the vlogger managed to ride the scooter for 177 km, which is great.

The last round is probably the most challenging one. He took the scooter to a beach behind his house. He rode the scooter on the beach, and after some time, he drove it directly into the salty water. He wanted to test if the Ola S1 Pro scooter would still continue to work if saltwater gets in. The scooter was completely submerged in the sea for some time, and later, the vlogger turned the scooter and started riding it back. The rider was impressed that the scooter had not stopped even in water. The motor and batteries were all protected. He brought the scooter out and started riding it in different modes to test it. The speakers, headlamps, and other electricals were all working, and the rider was extremely impressed. Even the touchscreen was working fine.
