Hyundai Exter

Hyundai has introduced their new car in this segment, the Hyundai Exter which is the smaller sibling of the venue itself and comes in the budget range.
Over the years, Hyundai has launched one facelift of the Hyundai Venue which has helped in maintaining these impressive sales numbers. Hyundai launched Venue facelift in June 2022 and changed the design. The design was made in-line with Hyundai’s global cars such as the Tucson and Palisade. Hyundai also launched the Venue N-line in September 2022 which was a more sporty version of the Venue itself.

Talking about the year to year journey of sales, Venue managed to reach 50,000 sales in 6 months, the 1 lakh sales mark was achieved in 15 months and 2 lakh sales were completed in 25 months. 3 lakh sales milestone was crossed in April 2023 which is 36 months after launch.

Having sold 454,563 units since its launch, the Venue comprises 20% of Hyundai Motor India’s 2.20 million passenger vehicle sales up to July 2023. Additionally, it constitutes a significant 43% of the company’s utility vehicle sales of 10,59,685 units. Given this track record and the introduction of the new Exter model, can the Hyundai Venue-Exter duo further enhance the company’s growth in the compact SUV segment?
