Mahindra Scorpio-N rescues Ford Endeavour during off-roading [Video]

No matter how big or capable your SUV is, if you do not have the right set of skills, the SUV will not be able to perform its fullest potential. In the past, we have seen many examples in which an SUV bigger in size is rescued by a smaller SUV if the former gets stuck on an off-road trail. Something similar happened with a driver of a Ford Endeavour when he got stuck while manoeuvring over an off-road trail, and eventually got rescued by a Mahindra Scorpio-N.

The video of Ford Endeavour being rescued by a Mahindra Scorpio-N was uploaded on YouTube by Anshuman Bishnoi. In the video, the presenter explains how he went on an off-road event, which witnessed participation from capable four-wheel-drive SUVs like Mahindra Scorpio-N, Ford Endeavour, Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, Mahindra Thar, Isuzu MU-X and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.

At one point of time in the video, there came a steeply inclined off-road trail completely covered in mud and slush. Usually, vehicles do not dare to go over such trails, but when you have a vehicle equipped with a four-wheel-drive system, you have a curiosity to drive over them. The same happened with this bunch of enthusiasts, all of which had capable SUVs with them.

The driver of the Ford Endeavour tried to pass over the inclined slushy path, but right at the top of the incline, his SUV got stuck and failed to get traction. The fuel tank below the Endeavour got stuck on the tip of the incline, due to which the SUV was unable to move further. In addition to it, further driving attempts might have damaged the fuel tank, which could have led to bigger and more expensive problems.

Not a challenging rescue

However, the Mahindra Scorpio-N already present in the group climbed up the incline to rescue the Ford Endeavour by dragging it back to the start of the inclined path. Both the SUVs were tied with a rope from the rear tow hooks of both the SUVs. After that, the Scorpio-N drove down, thus pulling out the Endeavour tie with back to the ground.

While the Endeavour got stuck then, it drove back to the same hill after a few minutes, clearing out that the SUV is capable of doing such rough stuff. Both the Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Scorpio-N are capable four-wheel-drive SUVs built on ladder-on-frame chassis. These SUVs come equipped with proper drive modes suitable for varying terrains to give them balanced traction on all kinds of surfaces.

The four-wheel-drive diesel manual will be available with Z4, Z8 and Z8 L variants, the four-wheel-drive diesel automatic will be offered with Z8 and Z8 L variants. All these versions will come specifically with the seven-seater configuration and not the six-seater configuration with captain seats in the middle row. The higher variants of the Scorpio-N four-wheel-drive get 4XPLOR off-road drive modes as well.
