Toyota Innova & Maruti Dzire stuck on beach due to high tide [Video]

In the past, we have seen many instances when people made a fool and a loss statement for themselves by parking or driving on the seashores. In one such self-destructive incident, owners of two Toyota Innovas and a Maruti Suzuki Dzire got a lesson of their lifetimes for parking their vehicles on the shores of a beach at the risk of high tide waves.

The incident is reported from Murudeshwar Beach in Karnataka, where the drivers of two Toyota Innovas and a Maruti Suzuki Dzire decided to park their vehicles on the loose sands of the beach shore after seeing that the parking lot of the beach got completely occupied. At first, the owners thought that this place is a safe place to park their vehicles.

However, their belief turned into a situation of a nightmare, when the high tides started hitting the seashore, where these cars were parked. Due to these high tides, the water level of the sea waves kept on increasing. By the time the drivers realized that the water level has increased and started trying to remove their vehicles, those vehicles got stuck in the wet sands of the beach, causing them unable to move.

Car engines were on

To prevent hydro-locking of the engines and seawater to enter the exhaust systems of these cars, their drivers kept the engine of these vehicles on for more than one and a half hours. In a video uploaded by the YouTube channel of Mundodi Vlogs, we can see those Innovas and Dzire being washed away by the high tide waves.

It is not known whether these vehicles suffered severe damage to their powertrains, interior or any other mechanical part. However, this incident has once again thrown some light on the carelessness of some people in parking or driving their vehicles on the seashores. In many cases, the rise of the water level on the seashores increases uncertainty.

As a preventive measure, one should park his car at a safe distance from the seashores, so that he gets enough time and space to move his vehicle, even in case of an uncertain event of an increase in water level. Also, in case a vehicle comes in contact with seawater, it is highly recommended to wash the vehicle thoroughly to avoid rusting issues due to moisture and salty waters of the sea.

Driving on the beach is illegal

Most state governments have banned any private vehicle from entering the beaches. The step came a few years ago after a number of tourists entered the beaches with private vehicles and got stuck. Other vehicles and resources had to be called to recover these vehicles. To ensure that these private vehicles do not put an unnecessary load on the resources, the government has banned the entry of vehicles to the beaches.

There have been instances where vehicles of ministers have got stuck on the beaches. It takes massive effort to recover such vehicles from the beaches as the rescue vehicle also faces challenges in the sand.

But what if you really want to take your vehicle to the beaches? Well, there are a few beaches in India that allow private vehicles to enter legally. There is a beach in Kerala, which allows vehicles to enter after an entry fee. Most of the beaches have soft sand that causes the vehicles to get stuck. However, Muzapillangad Beach in Kerala has hard sand that ensures that the cars do not get stuck.
